What it is
Iron is an essential trace mineral required for a wide range of physiological processes, most notably oxygen transport, cellular respiration, and energy production. How it works in the body

When iron intake is insufficient or absorption is impaired, the body’s ability to produce healthy red blood cells declines, which can lead to symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, reduced exercise capacity, and impaired cognitive function. Over time, this can progress to iron-deficiency anemia, a condition characterized by reduced oxygen delivery to tissues.

By protecting the iron as it passes through the stomach, the encapsulation helps reduce direct irritation of the gastrointestinal lining. This may improve compliance and reduce side effects such as nausea, constipation, or metallic taste, which are commonly reported with conventional iron supplements [3].
